Abbie qualified as a Solicitor in 2023 and joined Nelsons as an Associate in May 2024.
Abbie advises on contentious corporate insolvency matters, supporting insolvency practitioners, company directors, and companies with a particular emphasis on antecedent transactions (such as transactions at an undervalue, preferences, and transactions defrauding creditors) and directors’ conduct and misfeasance claims. Abbie also advises on personal insolvency matters, including advising on trust and property issues within the context of bankruptcy and bringing proceedings to recover a bankrupt’s assets for the benefit of the bankrupt’s estate.
Abbie also supports private individuals, companies, and creditors with commercial debt recovery, advising on bankruptcy and winding up petitions/proceedings.
In addition, Abbie advises on non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters, including the appointment of administrators, and reviewing and advising upon the validity of security documents.
