Zoe has made it into the final eleven in the ‘Financial Adviser of the Year – Midlands and East Anglia’ category at this year’s Women in Financial Advice Awards.
Introduced to recognise the successes of women in a sector where they are comparatively under-represented, the awards hope to play their part in inspiring more women to come into the sector. Made up of 28 categories, they celebrate the achievements of women working within the financial advice community and also the financial services sectors that work to provide solutions for their clients.
Zoe, who has 18 years’ experience in the financial services industry and joined us in 2018, said:
“I’m honoured to have been shortlisted in this year’s Women in Financial Advice Awards. According to research done by the Financial Conduct Authority, gender diversity is low at an industry level overall, something that is very noticeable to me when I attend seminars or industry events where the attendees are predominantly male.
“At Nelsons, diversity and inclusion are embedded in our culture and I’ve never felt more proud to be a woman in the financial advice industry than I have done since I joined the firm. Being a financial adviser is a very rewarding career. I really enjoy talking to my clients about their financial future; supporting and empowering them to make the right choices to achieve both their practical needs and aspirational goals. I’d always encourage young women to take the jump into our industry.”
Stewart Vandermark, Chief Executive at Nelsons, said:
“We’re very proud of Zoe for being shortlisted as ‘Financial Adviser of the Year for the Midlands and East Anglia’. Since she joined Nelsons three years ago, she’s gone from strength-to-strength in her role and this is a real testament to the hard work and dedication she puts in every day.”
Winners will be announced on 7th October 2021 during the event at The Brewery in London.
