We have launched a dedicated Residential Conveyancing team in Leicester – as we look to build on our wider regional success and maximise on the county’s positive market outlook.
Heading our Leicestershire team is Russell Hurst who has more than 15 years of experience in the residential conveyancing sector and who joins us as a Legal Director.
Chris Huntingford, Partner and head of our Residential Conveyancing team, said that headed from our Derby office, our conveyancing department has nearly doubled its activity in the past two years – and that there was a real opportunity for further growth. He said:
“Following a few years of strong performance in Derby, we recognised a clear opportunity in Leicestershire and a market ripe for the personal service that Nelsons offers.
“Launching the first residential conveyancing team in Leicester after nearly a decade is a very exciting move and proves that Nelsons is a firm that never stands still – even after 40 years in business.
“We are also predicting a real resettlement of the property market this year. While we don’t expect the boom of the last year to be matched, there will certainly be demand from home movers and investors which makes this the right time for our department to invest, be strong and remain competitive.”
Joining Russell are Associate and Solicitor, Amy Tivey, and Conveyancer, Nishi Chavda, who both bring past conveyancing experience and have a particular passion for building close working relationships with their clients. Paralegal, Akeeta Lakhani, has moved to join the Leicester team from our Derby office.
Chris added:
“It was important to build the right team and have someone experienced at the helm. Russell was always someone I wanted to join us, having worked with him in a previous role and knowing first-hand his reputation and leadership skills. It is a real coup to have him leading the team, joined by Amy, Nishi and Akeeta as fresh and ambitious talent that is already delivering results for clients in the county.”
Discussing his ambitions for the new team, Russell said:
