We have welcomed a new corporate solicitor to our Derby office as part of our plan to grow our presence in the city.
Callum Fotheringham specialises in mergers, acquisitions and disposals, shareholder agreements, as well as reorganisation work with a particular focus on tax-driven restructures.
He studied law at the University of Derby, later achieving a Masters at the University of Dundee and then completed his training at Knights, where he found his passion for corporate work.
Callum said:
“During my training, the largest transaction I worked on had a 5am completion – but I really thrived off the energy of others and enjoyed how everyone came together. It was great to get so much exposure from experienced partners too.”
Callum then moved to another firm to gain more experience. The opportunity came up for him to be reunited with his former colleagues when four of the Knights’ corporate team moved to us in September. He added:
“As well as getting to work with Rachel again, I’d heard so many positive things about Nelsons, its heritage and identity within the legal world is well known and it’s great to see its continued progression since it became part of Lawfront. I am now looking forward to pushing myself in a new market, and helping to grow the Derby presence for Nelsons with the support of a great team.”
