Nelsons’ Expertise Recognised By Infant Loss Foundation

Pioneering organisation The Foundation for Infant Loss Training has added Nelsons to its list of recommended medical negligence providers.

Nelsons has been recognised by the foundation due to its experience, training and testimonials received, which all confirm the firm treats and supports bereaved families in a highly sympathetic manner.

Matthew Olner, Partner, who specialises in medical negligence claims and inquests, said:

“The Foundation for Infant Loss Training is an excellent organisation which supports families through such a difficult time in their life. I am delighted Nelsons has been recognised as an accredited provider by the foundation for the way the law firm deals with medical negligence claims – it is testament to the strong and hardworking team of solicitors we have here.”

The Foundation for Infant Loss Training – set up by Chantal Lockey following the death of her own daughter in 2004 – is committed to providing first class, accredited training on the taboo subject of infant loss to people across the world who wish to learn more about how to support loved ones and families through a devastating time.

The foundation launched a list of recommended providers in April 2018 in order to signpost families to a range of services, from bereavement photographers to counsellors and solicitors.

Matthew said:

“Every year, thousands of people are affected by the death of an infant or child. This week is Baby Loss Awareness Week, which aims to provide support to anyone affected by pregnancy loss and the death of a baby, alongside working with health professionals and services to improve care at such a devastating and distressing time.”

A spokesperson from the Foundation for Infant Loss Training said:

“The foundation is delighted to be working with Nelsons. We are confident that the law firm is suitably trained in infant loss and has exhibited such compassion, understanding and kindness. We would have no hesitation in recommending Nelsons and look forward to a long-standing alliance.”
