Nelsons has appointed two new Partners as part of announcing 13 promotions across the firm.
Danielle Young from our Medical Negligence team in Leicester and Sam Cawley from our Investment Management department in Nottingham have both been made partners.
Danielle has been with Nelsons since 2011, qualifying in 2015. Throughout the last decade, she has advised on diverse clinical negligence issues, covering areas such as pregnancy and birth injuries, brain injuries, fatal incidents, surgical errors, and cauda equina syndrome. She said:

Chartered financial planner, Sam, joined us in 2020 as an Investment Director.
His areas of expertise include investment advice for individuals, cash flow planning, pension and retirement planning, as well as inheritance tax planning. He said:
“Since joining Nelsons five years ago, much has changed in the world of wealth management, with clients relying on our expertise to help them navigate changes. I am proud of what the whole team has achieved, and how we continue to respond to the market. As partner, I hope to keep building our profile and position in the East Midlands and beyond, and to be an ongoing source of robust and reliable investment advice.”
Five new Legal Directors have been announced across the firm, each bringing significant expertise to their respective teams.
In Leicester, Rina Mistry strengthens the Family Law team with expertise in private children law while Craig Bennett bolsters commercial litigation focusing on contract disputes.
In Nottingham, Hannah Bridgwood handles complex relationship breakdowns and high-value financial settlements in family law; Hayley Brown brings specialist knowledge in insolvency and asset recovery; and, Jeremy Ward brings experience of complex children proceedings.
Adding to the growth are five new Senior Associates: Hannah Manewell, an expert in personal injury; Stuart Parris in the Private Litigation team; Tom Newton who specialises in private client work; Suzanne Castledine-Casey from the Investment Management team, all based in Nottingham, and Lesley Harrison from the Leicester Private Litigation team.
Kimberley Brown, who joined us in 2021, has been promoted to Senior Marketing Executive in the Marketing and Business Development team.
