Nelsons has fought off tough competition to make it to the final round at The Lawyer Awards 2020 in the “Law Firm of the Year: The Independents” category.
The awards are widely recognised as the largest celebration of legal excellence in Europe, with more than 500 entrants being submitted each year. This year, there are 28 categories across five different areas of business, including transactional, operational and organisational.
We have been shortlisted for the “Law Firm of the Year: The Independents” category, which is made up of entrants who appear in the current edition of The Lawyer UK 200: Independents report. This ranks the largest firms in the UK 200 from numbers 101 to 200 by revenue.
Our Chief Executive, Stewart Vandermark, said:
“We’re proud to be an ambitious, forward-thinking law firm that’s always willing to push forward to find new, improved ways to serve and empower our clients. So, we’re absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for this award, it’s a real testament to the tireless hard work and dedication our team puts in every day.
“The past 18 months have been an exciting time for us, with nine award wins in 2019, as well as being shortlisted for many more, and completing extensive refurbishments to all of our offices too. Therefore, to have been recognised and nominated for another prestigious award illustrates our vision is stronger and clearer than ever before.”
Due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic, the ceremony will be unable to take place in its usual format this year. Instead, the awards ceremony will be held virtually for the first time in The Lawyer Awards history on Tuesday 3rd November.
