Nelsons Solicitors has been recognised for its ongoing commitment to the community at the 2017 Leicestershire Cares Awards Evening.
Nelsons was presented with the Long Service Award at the annual celebration event, which took place at Blaby District Council’s head office, in Narborough.
The accolade celebrated Nelsons’ five-year membership with Leicestershire Cares, a charity that brings businesses and communities together, and its 10-year commitment to Leicestershire and Rutland ProHelp, a group of professionals who offer their services for free to local not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises in need of support.
Nichola Faith, Associate and Solicitor at Nelsons, who was presented with the award, said: “A strong commitment to helping the local community has always been very important to Nelsons so it has been great to be recognised for our continuing support of Leicestershire Cares, which is an organisation we are proud to be associated with.”
Leicestershire Cares provides volunteering opportunities for companies looking to get involved with communities in Leicestershire and Rutland.
In the past, Nelsons has helped to give the Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary, in Markfield, Leicestershire, a garden makeover. Volunteers from the law firm also decorated a residents’ lounge at Vista’s Kathleen Rutland care home, in Leicester Forest East.
