Nelsons has recently announced senior promotions across the firm’s three offices.
Helen Salisbury, who joined Nelsons in 2015, has been promoted to Partner at the firm. Helen works in the Wills, Trusts & Probate team specialising in will drafting, inheritance tax, administration of estates, grants of probate, court of protection, powers of attorney and trust advice.
Independent Financial Advisers Simon Thatcher and Phil Terry have become Partners in the firms’ Investment Management team. Simon focuses on charity investments and building relationships with trustees who look after the charities finances, investments and life assurance and pensions. Phil’s areas of expertise include investment advice for individuals, trustees, deputies and attorneys, long term care and later life advice, life assurance and protection and personal pensions. Tina Collishaw, who works with Simon and Phil, has also been made an Associate. Tina joined Nelsons in 2015 and manages the firm’s Paraplanning team and provides support to our Independent Financial Advisers.
Harpreet Sandhu has been made a Partner and now heads Nelsons’ Commerce and Technology team. Harpreet joined the firm in 2016 and specialises in commercial agreements, IT and intellectual property law. Shelley Litchfield, who works with Harpreet, has become an Associate and advises on supply and purchase contracts, franchise agreements, distribution and agency, data protection and e-commerce and website contracts.
Dispute resolution specialists Emma Ward and Laura Wright have also been promoted. Emma has now been appointed as a Partner, and specialises in all elements of intellectual property disputes, including copyright, confidential information and design right claims, patent, trademark, and passing off actions and information technology (including domain name) disputes. Laura has become an Associate and specialises in commercial dispute resolution and insolvency law.
Dav Jaspal, who specialises in corporate law services, has become a Partner in our Leicester office. Dav joined Nelsons in 2010 and advises on acquisitions, disposals and mergers, management buy-outs and buy-ins, corporate reorganisations, company formations and shareholders’ agreements.
Medical Negligence expert Baishali Clayton has been made an Associate. Baishali joined Nelsons in 2008 and advises on all areas of medical negligence claims and inquests.
Peter Rees has become an Associate in Nelsons’ Commercial Property team. Peter joined the firm in 2012 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in 2014.
Jessica Melniks, who manages Nelsons’ New Business team, has become an Associate. Jessica joined the firm in 2014 and previously worked as a Sales Support Manager at EvoEnergy Ltd.
