Legal 500 Hall Of FameTwo leading lawyers from Nelsons have been recognised as being at the ‘pinnacle of their profession’ after entering the Legal 500’s prestigious Hall of Fame list.

Bruce Williams

Bruce joined Nelsons in 1986 as a newly qualified solicitor, becoming a partner in 1991. He specialises in advising on complex catastrophic injury and brain and birth injury claims.

Bruce said: “It is very pleasing to receive such recognition after a long career, which I have dedicated to achieving justice for the victims of accidents and medical negligence.

“When I joined Nelsons, the firm was three years old and no one else here was specialising in personal injury and clinical negligence – the number of cases being dealt with could easily be counted on both hands. I was given both the space and support to develop my practice and a department in a firm which, at that time, was very unusual in terms of its ground-breaking and commercial thinking.

“Nelsons’ innovative, forward-thinking approach remains to this day a key part of the firm’s ethos and culture, and I’m thrilled to still be part of it.”

Michael, who has been with Nelsons for 11 years, said: “It feels really good to be recognised in this way – the Legal 500 reflects the views of professionals as well as clients.”

This is the first year the Legal 500 Hall of Fame has been introduced throughout the UK. For individuals to earn their spot, they must have been recognised by the Legal 500 as one of the elite leading lawyers for six consecutive years.

Stewart Vandermark, Chief Executive at Nelsons, said: “Huge congratulations are in order to both Bruce and Michael, who thoroughly deserve their spot on this prestigious new listing.”
