Nelsons has retained its Lexcel accreditation – the Law Society’s coveted quality standard for effective practice management and excellence in client care – with assessors reporting ‘commendable practices’ and a ‘fresh air of dynamism’ in some key areas of compliance monitoring.
The Lexcel v4 Practice Management Award follows a rigorous scheduled re-assessment by independent experts of the firm’s systems and procedures across a number of areas, including case management, forward planning, financial management and office administration.
Only awarded to solicitors who meet the highest standards or management and customer care standards, it is designed to help practitioners comply with the obligatory Solicitors’ Code of Conduct 2007 and other regulations. Feedback following assessment not only commended practices but stated that ‘the Standard remains in good hands’ with Nelsons.
Nelsons’ Managing Partner, Chris Miller comments: “This award has been retained thanks to the commitment and dedication of everyone at the firm. It demonstrates that we continue to meet the highest standards of excellence for the profession and that we are committed to providing clients with the superior service to which they are entitled.”
The award was originally granted to Nelsons in 2005 and has been renewed following annual monitoring visits.
Providing specialist advice on a full range of personal and business legal issues, Nelsons is one of the largest independent law firms in the country. Listed as one of the East Midland’s regional heavyweights in Legal 500, a leading independently researched legal directory, the firm has over 200 staff across its three offices in Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.
