Nelsons has announced the three chosen charities that it will be supporting for the coming year through various charitable events across our offices in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham.

Every year, Nelsons’ staff vote for charities they wish to support and this year they have selected Wishes 4 Kids, NSPCC and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Stewart Vandermark, Chief Executive at Nelsons, said: “We are delighted to support these charities for the next 12 months, all of which are truly inspirational. It is important for us at Nelsons to give back and support
local causes which make real differences to the lives of others.

“We’ll be holding various fundraising events during the year at our offices to raise money to support the work of these organisations.”

Nelsons staff in Leicester will be raising money for Wishes 4 Kids, which grants wishes for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life-limited or terminally ill.

Employees in Derby will be supporting the local branch of children’s charity NSPCC, which works to prevent abuse and helps those affected to recover.

Staff in Nottingham will be raising money for the local Alzheimer’s Society branch, the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity.

Last year, Nelsons staff raised more than £3,800 across the East Midlands for its chosen charities – Rainbows, Macmillan Derby and Wolds First Response Trust.
