Employment Law Advice
Contact us with a no obligation enquiry today and we will be able to discuss your issue with you in more detail. We won’t charge you for discussing your initial enquiry over the phone and we also offer a fixed fee one hour appointment which is charged at £150 + VAT.
During this appointment, you will be able to meet with one of our experienced employment solicitors and they will be able to provide you with a full assessment of your case. They will explain what your legal rights and options are as well as what it may cost to take further legal advice, advising on all of the available options to fund your case which may include:
- Whether you have personal legal expense insurance cover
- Whether you have a general household policy which includes legal expense insurance
The government has introduced a fee system, whereby anybody wishing to bring a claim in the Employment Tribunal has to pay an Issue Fee when their application is submitted and Hearing Fee if the claim proceeds all the way to a hearing.
The level of fee depends on the type of claim being issued and there is a fee remission scheme through which exemptions from the fees may apply if certain criteria are met. If you instruct Nelsons to assist you with bringing a claim then we will discuss fees with you in further detail and explain what is required of you.
In addition to our in-house services, we also offer a range of flexible, convenient and low cost online employment services to help you through your working life. Priced at just £29, we offer two packs of documents and letters which will help you:
- Make a request for flexible working
- Make a request for maternity, paternity or adoption leave
- Build a professionally structured CV and covering letter
All of our online services are quick and easy to use and come with helpful notes to guide you through the process. You can also try out the documents before you buy them.
