Nelsons was instructed by Mr B when his former solicitors, who were conducting his clinical negligence claim, failed to serve court proceedings in time. This meant that his original claim was struck out. Mr B therefore instructed Nelsons to pursue a professional negligence compensation claim against his former solicitors.
The original action concerned a failure to offer Mr B physiotherapy and pain relief following shoulder surgery, causing him to develop a frozen shoulder. Mr B had shoulder symptoms for over 12 months.
Mr B was represented by specialist solicitors Claire Liptrot and Baishali Majumdar, who succeeded in recovering a four figure sum from Mr B’s former solicitors by way of compensation for professional negligence.
