Injured Electrician Receives £50,000 in Accident at Work Claim

An accident at work left Mr.R severly injured and nable to work for a prolonged period of time. Mr R is a self-employed electrician. Whilst visiting a customer’s premises to do some work in their factory, he was knocked down and run over by a fork-lift truck being driven by his customer’s employee.

Mr R suffered a severe ankle injury in the accident and was in hospital for many weeks and as a result his business suffered.

Nelsons visited Mr R in hospital to take his instructions and quickly visited the site of the accident to help establish the facts of the case. We were able to negotiate with the Defendant’s insurers and they admitted responsibility for the accident.

Compensation was Awarded as a Result of the Personal Injury.

Having analysed Mr R’s business accounts and established what financial losses he suffered as a result of being unable to work, we secured an interim payment for him to enable him to keep his business afloat.

Mr R is now back at work and his case has been settled. In total, Nelsons were able to secure £50,000 in damages for him.
