Nelsons represented Mr K in a claim against Northern Lincolnshire & Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust after it failed to diagnose multiple injuries following a road traffic accident.
Mr K was taken to hospital by ambulance but discharged only a few hours later, having been diagnosed with ligament strain to the back ribs only.
In fact Mr K required urgent re-admission later the same day to a different hospital where he was then correctly diagnosed with multiple fractures, bleeding on the brain and kidney laceration, amongst other injuries. He required a stay in the Intensive Care Unit but fortunately went on to make a good recovery.
The Trust accepted that the undiagnosed injuries were severe and caused our client additional suffering.
Baishali Majumdar was able to settle the claim for a four figure sum.
