Nelsons has acted for a new Derby-based company, Quit Easy Limited in the establishment of the Head Franchise that will see the business push out across the UK the use of a revolutionary technique designed to help people to quit smoking.
Derby based retired businessman Bob Bradley, in partnership with his son-in-law Rick Aston, set up Quit Easy Limited after trying the innovative technology for himself in Singapore. After numerous failed attempts to quit smoking, Bob and Rick both tried the Quit Easy treatment and it worked, so they decided to acquire the UK rights to market it at home.
Coming out of retirement after nine years to set up the enterprise, Bob and his wife Annette last week opened the doors to the UK’s first Quit Easy clinic at a newly refurbished office at 1 Bridge Street in Derby, and the couple are now looking for franchisees.
Bob comments: “Rick and I were so impressed with the ease at which we were able to give up smoking that we decided to invest in the technology and bring the Quit Easy technique to the UK. We’ve set up the first clinic here in Derby and plan to roll-out franchise clinics far and wide across the nation.”
Invented in Italy by psychologist Dr Enzo Lombardo, the Quit Easy procedure is well-established worldwide. In 2008, 260,000 people were treated in Italy using the method, with a further 350,000 elsewhere around the world.
“The non-invasive Quit Easy method is a holistic and natural remedy called auricular reflexology,” says Bob Bradley. He continues: “It involves use of an electronic device to stimulate various points in the ear, eliminating the urge to consume nicotine by the end of a 20 minute treatment.
“No nicotine substitutes are required and all that’s needed following treatment is a short course of herbal supplements which are designed to quell the habits associated with smoking. That’s it!”
The Quit Easy technology has been accredited by L.I.L.T, one of the Italy’s leading anti-cancer trusts and tests at the University of Rome demonstrate a 93% effectiveness rate with helping people to quit smoking. The technique’s other uses – including helping to combat obesity and aid weight loss, and eliminating insomnia – are currently undergoing controlled testing.
